Ann and Nancy Join the Revolution - Free Pussy Riot
Heart - Kick it Out(Live Night @ Sky Church )
Heart - Barracuda (Live 1977)
I can’t get enough. To have that much energy, that much groove, that much stage presence and fun onstage during their early years… It’s completely infectious!
Nancy Wilson rocks her guitar like no other—and to add she’s become one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to knowing, playing, and performing your instrument! Ann Wilson has such a mesmerizing control over her lyrics and song and definitely fronts their songs perfectly. She brings them to life while the band works to make you feel. God.
This decade in music. Late 70s to 80s gets me all the time! There’s no other time like it. I wonder if my constant escapism through these decades—especially with music—is gonna kill me someday, or rather help… Whatever the case, I know this all just reinforces my whole old lady in a little girl’s body belief…

Kennedy Center Honors Led Zeppelin Complete - [Youtube]
Last night I witnessed what is now my favorite Television Musical Production and Rock & Roll’s ultimate tribute. George Stevens, Jr. and his writing partner Michael Stevens wrote and produced a masterpiece as they pulled off the impossible with their Epic finale of Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven.
Ann & Nancy Wilson of Heart had Robert Plant on the verge of tears when they sang ‘Stairway to Heaven’ during the all-star finale & musical tribute to Led Zeppelin during the Kennedy Center Honors, broadcast last night (Dec. 26) on CBS.
[Skip to 14:00] As Nancy Wilson’s perfectly performed intro of Stairway to Heaven’s iconic finger style pattern rung out, instead of my usual grimace, I had chills on the back of my neck. Even the members individual fourth album Sigils were projected over the band as Heart performed the untouchable “Stairway” live. Heart’s Ann and Nancy Wilson were perfect choices to lead the finale, and not just because Heart performed many Zeppelin classics live (such as Battle of Evermore, Black Dog and Rock and Roll to name a few), it was because their once in a lifetime performance last night, went off flawlessly. I’ve had Rock Star dreams,…but that performance was what Rock Stars dreams of.
The entire pro-shot unreleased Brigade show for your viewing pleasure!

Ann & Nancy Wilson - Stairway To Heaven (Live, December 2, 2012)
Led Zeppelin received Kennedy Center Honors earlier this month. At the gala that night, several artists paid tribute to the band, but the best performance was by Heart’s Wilson sisters. They were joined on stage by Jason Bonham, son of the late John Bonham, on drums; Shane Fontayne masterfully playing the guitar; and a massive choir and string section.
